You may need to find a working copy on EBay to use as a donor for parts. Search for k-star kstar and kingstar parts or repair and you may get lucky. The challenge with your lighter is going to be finding parts and a proper diagram as while similar to a Rollagas, it is probably not exactly the same as the video. It is delicate work but not exceedingly difficult if you are good with working with small parts and tools, and follow safety guides for proper handling of pressurized butane. Here's a YouTube video of someone disassembling that lighter and and replacing the fill valve and o-rings. It looks like your lighter is a clone of a Dunhill Rollagas style lighter. If not, one or more of the o-rings that keeps the one way fill valve sealed is probably cracked or the fill valve itself is worn. Is as listed in photos

Are you sure the butane is getting into the lighter and isn't just pressurizing the filling nozzle and spilling from there when you release the can? If that's the case, you may just need an adapter for the can nozzle so that you get a proper seal and are actually depressing the fill valve and filling the lighter.
